Are we allowed a fire pit or fireworks? We are happy for you to have a firepit inside the marquee if it is supplied by the marquee company and we have pre approved it. However , in the summer months the ground can get quite dry so a fire pit outside poses too much of a risk with the surrounding wildlife and crops in the field. As we have cows grazing in the meadows that could get spooked, it would be unfair on them to allow fireworks, but we are happy for you to use sparklers if disposed of correctly. They make great photo opportunities!
-

The lighting we provide goes around the perimeter of the marquee area and lights up all of the walkways. We also put up fairy lights around the pergola, grand oak and other select trees. We can discuss your requirements during a pre wedding visit.
-
What if it rains? We are able to park cars on the hard standing gravel if the meadow becomes too wet for use, however this hasn't happened yet! The marquees and tipis available these days are so adaptable you can put the sides up / down to suit the weather conditions and wind direction. It is also possible to position the toilets close to the marquee so guests don't have far to dash to use the facilities! It is also worth noting that if the ceremony is planned to be outside, but its tipping it down, rather than using umbrellas, it is possible to re arrange the seats inside the marquee to accommodate.
-

-
Are there power and electric on site?Yes! We have a generator that powers the marquee field and there is mains water on the side of the cottage. We do not charge any extra for these! For extra large weddings or weddings where the caterers require electric ovens rather than cooking on gas it may be necessary to hire in an extra generator for the caterers but we can discuss your requirements with them nearer the time when you are finalising your menu choices.
